Walk in Comfort with Comfit Shoes

7/29/2012 09:34:00 AM Ice Goddhez Blog 6 Comments

I love shoes and nothing beats having shoes that are very comfortable yet stylish at the same time. Nowadays, I guess that's the selling point of most brands since there's a lot of names coming out and selling like hot cakes! I really see a surge of very chic and fab shoe styles recently from different brands in malls and online shops. There's sooo many, I can't help it! I want 'em all! LOL.

Of course, the styles come along with a hefty tag price sometimes and I don't really want to splurge on very costly and designer-brand shoes. It's best to invest in shoes with styles that will last longer than "seasonal" ... if you know what I mean hehe. Some fashion bloggers might disagree hehe. Well, it's just my personal opinion - I don't have an endless shoe closet and can't afford it hehe. So for me, I choose those that I can wear for more occasions and my daily office wear. And this is where this brand fits in - Comfit.

Comfit Cheri Nude Flats
COMFIT is a stylish brand, brought along by high street brand, Michael Antonio Philippines. Based on what I gathered from the store manager at the Michael Antonio shop in Trinoma, Comfit is a more affordable alternative to Michael Antonio shoes. They're like sister companies. Cheaper doesn't really justify it's cost, mind you. It's really just priced lower than Michael Antonio shoes, without sacrificing quality and style.

The first shop I saw was really at SM North EDSA - The Block but I didn't buy it yet. It was only later when I considered getting one ...

Etude House Stylish and Drawing Pencils for your Eyes!

7/27/2012 10:06:00 AM Ice Goddhez Blog 5 Comments

Etude House
Drawing Eyebrow and
Styling Eye Liner
The only piece of make-up I use everyday, I guess, in probably my most recent office years; say 4 years ... is an eyeliner. Believe it or not but yeah that's it. I guess that would be evident in most of my photos online hehe. When I started cosplaying, I didn't even use BB creams until a year after so BB creams are just a staple skin care piece for me in the recent 2 years; going 3 ...

I've tried different pieces of eyeliner brands and types - from pencil, to liquid, to gel ... I can't say I've tried everything though; but I did try quite a number. Not all of them have fitted my lifestyle and eye shape and needs. Some of them smear all over my eye lids. Some of them caused me irritation and rashes and allergies and what-have-yous. There are some brands that suit my sensitive skin type though ... and one of them is from Etude House! Yey!

Last year, I've also tried their eyebrow pencil to tame my wild brows. I ain't really a make-up junkie you know? Haha! But I can say some times, when I need to look more stiff and formal, I need to put on the eyebrow pencil; esp. with my work. I'm glad to use both of these pieces, coming from Etude House. If you follow this blog, you'll observe how much I love products from this brand and how I post my reviews, after trying them for quite some time. Allow me to share my experience with these two (2) amazing products for the eyes!

Lotsa Loot from SuperSale Bazaar 2012 - DAY 2!!!

7/24/2012 09:35:00 AM Ice Goddhez Blog 4 Comments

This post is a continuation of my DAY 1 POST:
~LALALALALA~

Lotsa Loot from SuperSale Bazaar 2012 - DAY 1!!!

Ain't it obvious that I was super happy and I had to return just to shop again? Hehehe. They said shopping or retail therapy is cheaper than a psychiatrist ... LOL. Yeah if you're stressed like me and want to keep your sanity, do it via shopping. Don't overspend, of course. Just have a budget. (^_^) For me, I definitely did not go over my budget. I only bought things that were matching the price I thought of hehe.

My first stop was at DAS My Shoes. I've been lustin' over their DAS34 in hot pink heel-less, peep-toe with ankle strap wedge or pumps or whatever! Unfortunately, it's been out of stock for good (T_T) and I cried lots for not getting myself a pair in time. When I inquired from them like months ago, I heard they're having a black and nude version soon! I can't wait for it to go out! Woot!

Soon enough, they released the nude version while the black one is still behind the scenes. The girls behind the brand said they can sell me the black one already. I was hesitant to buy because I'm not sure of my shoe size yet from them. While I'm normally a size (7); I get size (8) from most online shops like my favorite, Asianvogue Shop. For Asian sizes, I am a size bigger. So I waited until I got the chance the fit it on an event. And that event came during the I'm Shoe In Love Part 2 event. Unfortunately again, I didn't get a chance to buy it. (T_T)

With Neeresh Das
from DASmyShoes
and me with my 1st DAS Pair!
And now, as soon as I saw from their page that they're going to the SuperSale Bazaar, I didn't let it pass anymore. I was finally able to get my own DAS HEEL-LESS SHOES!!!

Not only did I get myself my much-awaited new shoes but I also had the opportunity to meet the designer - Neeresh Das. She was super cool in person.

Was it pricey? Probably, a little bit! But getting the shoes yo really love is priceless! As I always believed, a girl can never have too many shoes anyway, right? There's tons of clothes and bags to match them with. Hahaha!

Neeresh was very accommodating. She's fun to talk to and I admire how young and successful she is right now. I also love how unique her style is. I mean, look at those new shoes she's wearing! I'm sure lots of shoe-a-holics will be waiting for that to be out soon! Woot!

I don't really wear heels all the time. Judging from this pic that you see, I have scoliosis and I'm wearing a back brace. My doctor advised me really to avoid them as much as possible. I'm sure there's a lot of pretty designs as well in flats but heels are really a requirement now. LOLZ. Anyway, even at work; I don't wear it all the time. As my work requires me to sit long hours and just have a few times to go out and walk; I'm normally wearing my flats inside the office instead. So yeah, I still take care of my back. (^_^) Don't worry! When I walk around the floor; I am wearing my rollable flats most recently soooo nothing to worry about! I'm fine lah~

And if you think that's just all to get excited about ... wait! There's more ...

Lotsa Loot from SuperSale Bazaar 2012 - DAY 1!!!

7/22/2012 10:11:00 AM Ice Goddhez Blog 3 Comments

And no, I did not misspell the subject line! The event was aptly called "SuperSale" with one (1) word haha! And I guess at this point, it's the best "SALE" experience so far that I attended. I mean, in terms of the bazaar types of events and not just store sales events or promos. It's one of the major sale events I've anticipated this month of July and it didn't fail me. I'm really happy! (^_^)

My SuperSale Bazaar 2012 Pink Loot Bag
There was an Entrance Fee of P100 like any event similar to this one. I was so excited that my plan to go there for just one day on a weekend turned out to be two (2) days with the 1st day spent just looking around with friends and colleagues. I didn't get to attend the third day anymore and I wanted to rest that time instead. Hohoho~

It happened so recently (July 13-14-15) that I can't help but share my experience too soon! NOW! I have other post backlogs so this got pushed back a little bit to auto-post this day hehe but still, I managed to do it this time! Woot!

It's the first event I attended that gives away loot bags for shoppers. I got a pink one! Yey! There was an orange and blue loot bag too but I'm ok with pink hehehe. This is convenient for all shoppers who went there as there are so many shops to get lotsa good deals from. This one came in handy later on for me.

The event is well-organized, I must say. For such a noob like me in ransacking bazaars, I appreciated this one! The sections were well-arranged and it wasn't too-cluttered. The food stalls were situated outside the tent venue and just upon the entrance. Everything else inside is a shopping haven! From bags, shoes, accessories, clothing ... name it, you have it! I have so much good stories to say ...

Kuya Boyet's Chicago Style Cheesecakes

7/20/2012 10:35:00 AM Ice Goddhez Blog 6 Comments

If there's one thing else that I post here other than my kikay stuff, it's about food! Om nom nom ... And this time, I want to share my recent cheesecake favorite ... Kuya Boyet's Chicago Style Cheesecake. Not only because the owner is a friend of mine and colleague at work but because his wonderful cheesecakes are really uber-delicious! I can't count how many times I've ordered from him already hhehehe. And a number of my orders have become "gift" to some folks and they all loved it too!

My favorite is the Cheesecake Cups Collection. I order the six (6) pieces / box most of the time since it's just a small package and very easy for me to share with friends and family. His packaging is really very handy! Of course, don't just rely on the box ... you must try it to know how it tastes.

The Secret to Playing Crane Games

7/18/2012 10:27:00 AM Ice Goddhez Blog 12 Comments

I dunno what's with me but I think I'm lucky when I play these crane games! LOL.

I ain't boasting or anything but seriously, I always win something every time I play - whether that be Stacker Games and the normal old-school UFO / Dream Catcher crane games. I don't really pay a lot. I only load a hew hundred pesos ... okay fine P500 whenever I go to amusement parks. Then I play a number of games - Dance Dance Revolution; Guitar Hero; Technika ... etc. Most of them are music-inclined games. Then when I am about to rest already, I simmer down by playing crane games hehe.

"Happy" The Pink Bear - The Chai at Work
I swear I dunno but I do win lots! Freakin' serious! Call me maybe ... I mean call me lucky I guess. LOL.

There's quite a lot of "claw crane" games around. So far, I only play Stack N' Grab and Stacker and sometimes, UFO Catcher. I prefer the "stacker" games because the stacker itself is the game as I consider and the stuff toys that come later are just "consolation" prizes. Unlike the crane games alone, you get nothing - just rooting for the toy heheh.

My collection goes in this album --> Timezone Babies Collection. I don't consider myself an "addict" to it yet haha. I don't play it everyday anyway hehe. But I do make sure to play once in a while when I drop by the game zones hehe. So you wonder ... how I do it? Read more after the cut ...

BB Cream,

Etude House Baking Powder Pore & BB Deep Cleansing Facial Foam

7/16/2012 10:26:00 AM Ice Goddhez Blog 18 Comments

I haven't posted a beauty product review in a while so I guess, allow me to share this one heheh.

Ladies out there, we all know that we shouldn't sleep with our make up on, right? In case you don't know it yet, well, now you know. LOL. It's a basic skin care tip, not just for the vain but for everyone. We should always wash our faces by the time we wake up; and before we sleep; especially when we have a lot of "stuff" on our face hehehe.

One of the products I've been using recently is Etude House's Baking Powder Pore and BB Deep Cleansing Facial Foam. BB creams have been a staple facial care for me on a day-to-day basis.

While it's more than just a cosmetic product now, but a skin care regimen as well; it's still a "product" that stays on the face and needs to be cleansed by end of day. Regular facial wash products and similar products may help clean the face but nothing beats a specific product targeting removal of BB creams that do "stick" on our faces. For me, this product does work well. (^_^)

Footzyrolls - The Rollable Shoes

7/14/2012 01:07:00 PM Ice Goddhez Blog 1 Comments

I recently visited an event and this is where I got my 1st Footzyrolls pair. This was during the I'm SHOE In Love Event Part 2. I've been seeing them from a few of my fave fashion bloggers like Camille Co, Laureen Uy, and the likes. I was intrigued of its promise - the comfort with style flats.

My 1st Footzyrolls Pair - Candy Striper

So as you've read my story how I got my pair and why I also considered buying one, let's talk about the actual experience of using it hohoho~

The brand actually promises a collection of foldable and rollable yet STILL stylish flats. It's about time all Filipinas unroll into comfort, as their copy says. The original rollable, street-walkable shoes are now here in the country! Whenever we want to soothe our feet after a long day in heels, we can always stay chic and fab, without the ouch! That would be the time to roll into Footzyrolls - it's the perfect purse companion ... right? Hehehe.

I used it for a few days now ... by the time I wrote this post, it's been three (3) days (and today, it's been more days now since this is a scheduled post instead due to my backlogs hohohoho~). I find it really good as well and very comfortable ....

I'm SHOE In Love Part 2: The Experience

7/11/2012 08:50:00 AM Ice Goddhez Blog 5 Comments

It was last month when I blogged about this event and what I was looking forward to. It was really shoe-centric and I wanted to take home a lot of loot bags. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to. *le sigh* Why? Well ... imma discuss ... And good thing I posted it now to avoid backlogs haha! Got a few more posts scheduled to auto-post heheh.

The place was really grand! Each shopper pays P50 Entrance Fee which I really don't mind. All events I went to have entrance fees at least hehe. It was good enough that they considered having the food stalls at a separate area than mixing them all inside. It's more convenient for us shoppers. Props to that! All of them were just situated outside the main area, at the entrance; and at the far-end. In the middle, it's all about SHOES, SHOES, and SHOES! Woot!

DAS14 in Blue
I was lusting over this lovely pair of shoes from DAS My Shoes. Demmmm! Those shoes can kill indeed! LOL. I've been eyeing it for quite some time now, prolly last year in December I think? And dang! I've seen 'em and worn 'em for the 1st time! Very-Louboutin style I guess. I was nervous at first because I'm scared I wouldn't be able to walk in them (despite the fact that I have those sky-high wedges as well on the side from Asianvogue, which is another very-Christian-Louboutin style hehehe). I doubt I might fall! LOL. But when I walked in them ... it was really fun and cool! It retailed at P3,500 so I kinda thought ... well, I'd let it pass. I thought it would be a bit discounted (the price in Chalk Magazine last year, that had Kim Chiu on the cover with the same shoes in pink color instead shows the same price). *sigh*

Anyway ... It's not like I've let go of it right away. I kinda ... moved around first before I came back. And there were still loads of other stuff I found around hehehe. So I told myself ... lemme check it out first hohoho~

Four Major Sale Events This July - MOA, SuperSale, Forever21 and Mango!!!

7/09/2012 11:11:00 AM Ice Goddhez Blog 2 Comments

Can't get enough of events? Well, I know there are lots of mid-year sales this time around but I'm just focusing on these four (4) ...

Here's a few more line up of SALE EVENTS that I'm sure you guys would love to go to as well (like me!) Hohohoh~ Can't get enough of 'em! Seems like everywhere, "End of Season SALE" events are sprouting like crazy! How many seasons are there anyway? Seems like there's been a lot already HAH! I haven't even blogged about some of the past events I attended hehe. I owe you one! LOL.

Anyway ... get with the deal since this one has already started ...

So, since July 06, SM Mall of Asia started its End of Season Sale featuring well-renowned fashion bloggers like Camille Co, Tricia Gosingtian, and loads more. It's the first time I saw something like this so I was intrigued. Normally, I'd see different celebrities like Anne Curtis advertising SM and probably similar events but now, fashion bloggers have commercialized! Woot!

From mall opening to closing, shoppers like myself would get to enjoy up to 70% OFF on selected participating stores. The event is aptly called "End of Season Sale Fashion By [Blogger Name]". They've themed the campaign for "style icons" and yes, I think it was effective enough to catch my attention too hohoho~ And you wonder what's with MOA's End of Season Sale?

Detachable Collars in My Cosplays

7/07/2012 10:21:00 AM Ice Goddhez Blog 5 Comments

Before I even learned about detachable collars being a fashion statement, I was already wearing them without even knowing! Yay!

Well technically, yes, I know. Duh! How dumb of me if I don't know what it's called. And nah, I ain't saying I invited it or what. Halllllleerrr! Google wiki says it's been in fashion since 1827 (or so some others believe). Nevertheless, it's just fun to realize that ... and conclude ... I'm staying in-fashion in cosplay! Yay!

Lili Cosplay Face by *chenmeicai on deviantART
And right now, they're sooooo in-style! I've seen them a lot in posts from various fashion bloggers. There are different types now and I don't exactly know what each of them are hehehe ... I just learn along the way too. From stuff cloth collars, to metal choker types, to peter pan collar / bib-style, to necklace type ... and so on. I can't name them all! LOL. For me, I just used had my costumes done that way because ... it is more convenient hehehe. I can fake it! It looks like I have inner clothing or I have layered clothing like what the original character has. However, it's really just a fake lining for ... detachable collars and more! It makes me breathe better in my costumes trololol~ I actually miss cosplaying. I've been overly busy at work - that I neglect this hobby of mine. *sigh* I dunno yet when I can attend a convention once more but I'm definitely looking forward to it! It's been a year hehe. Anyway, it's fun to reminisce ... and look at how I applied this fashion statement in some of my cosplays. I'm sure some other folks have applied it too - makes life easier! Cuteness Overload with Hello Kitty Glasses

7/04/2012 09:15:00 AM Ice Goddhez Blog 4 Comments

At first, I was hesitant. Then I started to love it too. (^_^)

I got two (2) pieces of these as little gifts from my boss, Mamu Isay. She came from a cosplay convention I wanted to attend - she made it there; I didn't. LOL. I was too overworked so I didn't get the chance to visit. *sobs* She went there with her whole family anyway - and her kids enjoyed it hehe, And now I'm luvin the gifts.

I found it weird initially, as to why these glasses actually don't have glasses at all. It's blank ... it's just a hole. It's a plain glass frame. I didn't even know what these glasses were called until I saw it trending on Facebook from several other otakus and younger cosplayers ... mostly teens. Then I realized ... ahhhh! It's "uso" or "in-style" ngayon hahah. Wow! Didn't know my boss now is up-to-date with these stuff - event kiddie fashion statements. LOLZ.

My Hello Kitty Spectacles via Instagram
You can check out its better size on my tumblr photo post.

When I first wore it; I thought twice. Of course, I'm no longer a teen hehehe. I'm in my 20s yes, but I work in a corporate environment lah~ So this might distort my "image." LOL. But ... fuhggedaboutimage shiz! Just cracking' this fashion item doesn't mean I'm whacko right? Haha!

When I first posted this pic, my friends were teasing me - that I looked like a little kiddo. Haha. I was just trying to match the look and feel hehe. I think it's appropriate for kids in the younger generation though - so I seldom use this. No offense to Mamu, hehe. I just think it suits a much younger audience.

My 1st Mango VIP Only Sale Experience

7/02/2012 09:23:00 AM Ice Goddhez Blog 3 Comments

I know I've been invited to these types of events before. Believe me! I just haven't found the time to check it out hehehe. This time around, since I'm loving the current Mango collection, I made sure I checked it out before it's too late. So I checked it out ... even without my shopping buddies! LOL. :p They forgot about this event haha!

Mango VIP ONLY Sale
This is a late post by the way. LOL. This was since June 12 but anyway ... allow me to share ...

The very 1st thing I noticed was - they're strict in checking who does get it. If you're not an RCBC Bankard Holder (Mango Card), you really cannot get in to this all-exclusive event. Unless you are willing to sign up right then and there. Check out my blog post about this event. I'm not sure if this is really how it goes with other sale events but so far, based on experience; some brands are not like that. They cannot control the amount of people that come in. I'm glad than in Mango, this was strictly followed.

At the point of signing up, you get a Mango Apple cellphone charm - which unfortunately, I cannot get one anymore. I got mine since I signed up like 2+ years ago and I already broke it/ (T_T)  But anyway, there's still more to it inside! More for me to enjoy than the lost chance for that charm hehe.

I was telling myself, Mango will be on sale anyway for even more than the offered 50% - probably even 70% like they normally do so why bother going there on that day and splurge? I was even thinking twice. But when I really got in, I was more than convinced it was worth it ...
